My Baby is 4!!!!

Bubba, Rachel and I made spider and bat cupcakes for Danny's birthday.  It is amazing how much easier it is to do such projects with so much help.  It only took a fire hose and a bottle of lysol to clean up afterward!!!!
Danny's preschool went to the fire station for a field trip on his birthday.  Afterward, we brought the cupcakes to share.  They were a HIT!

Next in our "Danny's day of celebration" we met a bunch of his friends and their mom's at the new Chick - fil - a for lunch and MORE cupcakes!!!!
Dan's been coveting Rachel's pillow pet she got last weekend so he was SOOO excited to get "Scrachy" the dog.  (He named him)
Now "Sally" the lady bug has a friend!!!

Father and Sons Campout

This year David was able to take ALL his sons for the annual campout.  Danny finally qualified since he doesn't wear diapers anymore.  The ward all met up at Blackhawk campground in Payson Canyon.  It was a close call this year with David being able to go because they only announced it the Sunday before and he was suppose to be in Mexico until Friday night.  He was able to change his flight to get in early afternoon, take a nap (while his AWESOME wife packed for him) and get up there in time for dinner.  The boys had a blast with their dad.

On the way home they went to a car show in Payson.

 WORD!!!
Slug-bug white.  I'm winning AGAIN :)

Grandma's 75th Birthday Bash

We celebrated Grandma Monson's 75th birthday by having a "weenie" roast up South Fork in Provo Canyon.  The Monson clan all had a great time playing with sharp, hot sticks in the fire and eating their weight in s'mores.  It was fun to all get together - especially now that Karen and family are locals!

Our picnic site was right on the river.  The canyon is SO beautiful in the fall!

I was on the s'mores production line.  We had an efficient system to optimize volume and to assure quality control.
Nothing like potato chips to fancy up a hot dog.

Bubba Starts School

This was a monumental day in my life as my LAST child started his first day of school.  Don't worry, there were no tears (from me or him) and I look forward to the first day of the rest of my life!

Poppy Time!

Poppy came out for a visit this week.  Since the kids and David had Monday off for Labor Day, we decided to go on a family outing.  David had heard great things about the Hill Air Force Museum, and knowing Poppy like we do, we headed there for some awesome fun!  The picture is with a F4 Phantom fighter airplane.
This is an A7, the aircraft that Poppy repaired on the Kitty Hawk aircraft carrier during the Vietnam War.  It is a fighter bomber.  He had a great time reliving his times serving in the Navy.  The kids love hearing his cool stories.
This is the bomber that Gramppa Seel navigated in during WWII.  The US used this B20 bomber in the Pacific Ocean to bomb Japan.

YAHOOOOOO! Schools IN!!!!

Rachel and her friends Kyla and Hannah.
Being the AWESOME mom that I am, I didn't get pictures of the older kids ACTUAL first day of school.  This is actually RACHEL's first day of KINDERGARTEN - a week later for the boys.  She picked our her own outfit and earrings to match and is SOOOOOOOO excited.  I'm not sure who is more excited, her or me :)
